Happy 5th Birthday to Sophia Belle (and Sammy)!

Happy birthday to our beautiful girl! Here are a few photos when she was barely a year old!  She was much smaller then!

Some photos of her with a tiny Salem in the background!  They are about one year apart...

Sophie didn't like her new little sister at first.  Truth be told, they still have issues!  Sophie would be happy to be the only cat in the house.  Or the only furry one in the house.  She's not social at all and doesn't care for anyone much...except mama!  She likes to stay under the bed or looking out the window.  And she hardly ever comes out of the bedroom.
And here is our beautiful girl today.  All grown up with floof to spare!  She sheds as much or more than our Siberian Husky, Mya!
Happy 5th Birthday Sophia Belle!  You are a true joy to be around!  Unless  you are in one of your moods...then steer clear.

We love our Maine Coon girl!

Also, a special shout out to our boy T-Bone, now Sammy.  He was re-homed almost a year ago and today he turns 5 years old as well!  Sammy has a fantastic new mommy named Angie and some doggie siblings!  He will always be loved and greatly missed, but he is extremely happy in his new forever home!

Happy birthday to both of our babies!

Updates on my re-homed babies!

Pack mom here!  Last week I received some wonderful photos of Bella (now just Izzy) and Jedi (still Jedi) from their new mama in East Tennessee!  Thank you to Marcia for all that you have done!

Here is my Izzy Bella.  She has gained some weight, but will always be a slim girl.  Lanky like a deer!

Here is Jedi, Mya Boo Boo's oldest pup...now 7 years old.  Both kids are a bit muddy because there has been tons of rain.  But Jedi has certainly plumped up!  LOL!  He has his mother's genes!  :)

I do miss them so very much.  But they are on a huge piece of land, with other huskies to play with...and they are LOVED!

It is never easy to make the decision to re-home a pet that you love.  Especially for me, Jedi.  I helped Mya deliver him in the closet of my bedroom 7 years ago.  He's always been a special part of my heart.

But now, he is part of another person's heart...and very special buddy to my friend's husband.  They are bonded and best friends.  For this, I am eternally grateful and happy.  So regardless of how sad I get sometimes, I know they are happy, healthy and loved.

Here is T-Bone (now called Sammy).  He was just adopted by his foster mom, Angie just a few weeks ago!  He is doing wonderful!

Angie has worked with him constantly over the past year and he is now able to walk on a leash without jumping at sounds and people.

Look how handsome he is!  Oh, and now he will let her give him a bath.  That was a NO-NO for us.  So Angie has made wonderful progress.

It wasn't easy to let them go...it rips out a piece of your heart.  But, after losing my job and car, and fearing the loss of my rental home, I had to do something drastic.  I would never, ever want to take a pet of mine to a shelter.  So, making this decision was the right one.  Although we are still in our rental home for now, it is a month to month struggle.  And not a risk I was willing to take for my pets.  I could be homeless with my 3 doggies (not sure about the kitties), but not with 6 or 8 dogs.

So, there you go!  Some happy, healthy and much loved pups!  I also get small updates on Zena, the puppy I got out of a parking lot just prior to losing my job.  She has a good home with a doggie brother and now a little doggie sister, plus 2 human sisters.

Thanks for taking a moment to catch up on our past pack-mates.

The cats take what they want...

Meows to my furiends!  Sophie here.  Seems that Mommy was trying to make a special bed for the Siberian.

Well, it looked too comfy for her.  So I takes it.  That is all.

Siberian will do fine on the floor.  She is dog.  Dog is not as special as cat.  Duh....

The other cat, Salem, lays on a nice comfy blanket that Mommy made for her bed.  But we says that cat needs it more.  'Nuff said on that issue.

Sincerely,

Sophie...the Cat in Charge

Reesie Cup Promises!

Hello everypawdy!  Reesie Cup here to say hello!

Mommy says she will be using her bedroom as an office pretty soon...guess that means I'll have to find another soft spot to stretch out during the day!

Oh, poor pitiful me!  What will I do?  And please shut off that flashing beast!  My pose isn't ready!

Maybe, since I is a quiet girl, Mommy will let me sit beside her while she works!

I promises to be good!

See....!

Wuvs and kisses,

Reesie Cup

Happy 4th Birthday to Salem!

Happy birthday to my beautiful girl, Salem Marie!  She is 4 years old today.

She came to us through a "free to good home" ad on Craigslist 4 years ago at the age of about 6 weeks.  She was skinny and full of fleas.

Now, she is my beautiful little Ninja Cat!  Although she has attempted to chase a mouse now and then (and failed miserably), Salem prefers flying things.  Unlike her kitty sister Sophie, Salem isn't afraid of most stuff and loves to explore anything new.

Here's to you my sweet girl!  Happy birthday today!  And many, many more!

I love you.

Of course I guard my kibble!!

Mya Boo Boo here.  I was recently asked by a fellow Siberian Husky's human..."Do you guard your food and graze on it all day?"
Of course!  First, I guard my food because of certain suspicious activity.

Suspicious Activity, Piggy #1.

Suspicious activity, Curiosity killed the cat Piggy #2.

I can never let my guard down until all the kibble is in my belly!

What about my furiends?  Do woo guard da foods? Do woo have kibble thieves?  Furry siblings that will steal your foods?
