Caturday Saturday!

Happy Saturday!  Sophie here with Salem, aka Ninja Cat!

She doesn't look much like a Ninja today!  Shhhh...she's napping!

I is trying to wake her up...but she is a sound sleeper.  Is this a common Ninja trait?
I thinks she is ignoring me...silly girl.  Don't you know you can never ignore me!  I am twice your size!

If you won't play with me, then hmmmp.  Furget it.
 Hisses to you!
I will stare into this flashy beast...
And let Mommy tell me how beewootiful I am!
                                    And I is beewootiful!

Happy Weekend!

Painter Pack Mom here.  Just a quick update on CoCo.  She is doing good.  We finally got most of her medicines in...just waiting on one more which should arrive next week.  So, then we begin the heartworm treatment.  Please continue to send some power of the paw to my sweet girl.  She will be 12 in May and we plan on a big party for her!  I just pray she doesn't have an adverse reactions to this process.
Happy Saturday from Miss CoCo Bean and the Pack!

Happy Valentine's Day and Klondike Bars

Mya Boo Boo here! Woofs and woos of love to everyone!  It's the day of love and more love!  As you can see, since I don't have that special someone in my life, I'm spending my day relaxing and catching up on some sleep!  It's a hard life!
This is my spot on the futon!  No one else is allowed!  Well, except Mommy if she wants to sit there.

Mommy needs a new flashy beast, but other than the small, black photo bomber, these turned out ok!
As for my other furry sisters, they are all napping away as well.  Here is one of Reesie-Cup.  She's been on her diet for a week or so and Mommy says she thinks she has lost some pounds...BOL!!!  Look at that backside!  She's not lost anything!  BOL!!  BOL!!!  She'd suck the toe jam off of da toes if you let her!  Such a piggy!

She's laying on human brother's bed...that's where she stays when he is in his room.

Da cats are always sleeping, so that isn't anything special.  Here is our Valentine's Day photo featuring Miss Sophia Bell.  She's the fat cat...the Chunky Monkey...the big girl!  BOL!  Yeah, I love to bother her!

I don't know why they call her a smaller version of me!  One of my nicknames is Klondike Bar...and she is the Mini Klondike Bar!  Hmmmp!  She's nothing like me!  I am da Husky!

Here is my Blingee from a few years ago.  I am still so beewootiful!

I hopes everyone has a good Valentine's Day!  Eat lots of good foods and treats!  And don't be stingy with the presents!  We pooches (and kitties) like our presents!  Woofs!

************
Painter Pack Mom here.  Just a quick update on our CoCo.

She has not begun her treatment yet.  The vet is waiting on her antibiotic to come in (it is compounded) so it should be sometime this week.  But we are all ready and prepared.  Please continue to send her good thoughts as she begins her journey through this illness.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

CoCo's recovery...POTP needed.

Hi everyone.  Pack mom here.  Our oldest girl, CoCo Bean, is sick and needs some Power of The Paw!

CoCo has tested positive for heartworms.

Now I know a lot of you are thinking she should have been on preventative...and you are correct.  And this is a guilt that I have to live with...From March 2013 thru June of 2015, we were on the verge of being homeless.  It is only through our GoFundMe account, with the generosity of friends, strangers and the grace of God, that we never lost our home.  However, it also had our funds so limited that we literally had no money to buy preventative.  Since finding employment last June, I've been working to get each of the girls tested and on medications.  Reesie has been on medication since last year and we also had Mya tested.  Both girls are negative.  However, our almost 12 year old girl was not.

I cannot do anything but provide her with the best care now.  After talking with the vet, and due to CoCo's age, she will begin a "slow kill" method later this week.  She will also have supplements for heart and lung strength as well as for her liver.  She be on antibiotics as well.

We are asking for your positive thoughts and prayers for CoCo.  She is a treasure to me...I've had her since she was 6 weeks old.  And her health is overall good.  Of course she is slowing down, but I believe she has many good years of love left!  I will do whatever is within my power for her.

Today, we had a bit of snow.  So I let her outside to have some fun...once she begins her treatment she will not be able to have much fun, but will have to be kept quiet.  We have a crate already set up for her!  She has a couple of squeaky "babies" in there and should do fine.

If anyone has any tips or suggestions, please let me know.  I've never dealt with this issue, so I'm needing as much education as possible!

Here is Reesie, who also had some fun in the "snow"...LOL.  Living in Georgia, we don't get a lot of the white stuff.  This small amount closed all the schools!

So, again...Please keep CoCo in your thoughts and prayers...and I'm willing to listen to any and all suggestions!

Thank you all for being such a great community of support!

V-E-T visit and Slim Down Time!

Hello every pup and cat!  CoCo Bean here with a pupdate!  Last Saturday, Mommy invited a nice lady and fellow over to our house.  At least they seemed nice.  Turns out, it was da V-E-T!  **Shivers**

I about fainted!  I gots pulled out and muzzled!  Cause Mommy doesn't trust me--rightly so I might add.  *Smirks*  I gots a shot and they took some of my bloods!  MY BLOODS!  The lady and fellow were nice enough...but I don't like shots...and having my bloods took!  So next time, bring cookies instead and leave da shots and blood taking thingy at home!

Reesie Cup here...You think CoCo had problems...**lowers head in shame**...I'll trade you da blood sucker for the finger in my hiney any time!  Talk about a surprise!  Why Mommy?

The vet peoples was nice...I didn't even mind the shot all that much cause I smelled treats!

Lost the desire for da treats when the gloves went on and that finger came out...**gulp**Hope she found what she was looking for, cause the hiney is closed!  You hear me vet lady!  Now the lady has me on a diet!  She said I needs to lost at least 15 pounds!  Lady, is woo crazy?  I can't give up my foods!!

Mya Boo Boo here.  Such babies...both of you!  You don't know pain and humiliation!  **stomps Husky foot**  I got a shot too...and had my bloods stolen! But the worst part....the unforgivable...

She touched my feet!  You heard me...She touched my feety feets!  Not only that, she stole my beautiful toenails!  Just cut them right off with her evil toenail cutter!  I was so mad with da lady...woo can keep dem treats...I've got your scent and I'll find you!  You and your toenail stealing cutting thingy!  **Stomps out of the room**

Pack Mom here!  Sheesh...talk about drama queens!  But it is over until next year!  Whoo Hoo!  Thanks to the wonderful Vet-To-Go Service that handles Chattanooga and part of North Georgia!  They are great and if any of my local readers are interested in using them, contact me and I'll give you the information!  Reesie is also on a diet now...we have cut back on her food intake and increased her exercise.  Fifteen pounds may not sound like a lot...but she's about twenty pounds overweight!

Here is a small sample of our even smaller snow event...that wasn't.  Most of the East got feet...we got a dusting.  But, it was nice...for about an hour before it was gone.  Maybe we'll get some snow before the year is over!
